The proposed project is a diversion road in the Province of Negros Occidental, within the administrative jurisdiction of the DPWH 1st Engineering District. The diversion road is designated as the Bacolod Negros Occidental Economic Highway (BANOCEH), as its primary objective is to enhance the economic activities in the upper, northern portion of the province as well as provide a primary transportation infrastructure linkage among the cities along the eastwest transport corridor in the whole Negros Island. The whole 38 km alignment passes along various types of topography as it traverses over the inland terrain, which ultimately defines both the vertical and horizontal curvatures of the project.
